Local New Business to Develop Software Applications for Sandia National Laboratories’ Modeling Group

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Nuail Technologies, Inc., has been awarded a $550,000 contract to develop software applications for the Advanced Planning and Modeling group at Sandia National Laboratories. The total potential contract value is $1,650,000 including two one-year renewable options.

Nuail Technologies, Inc., a locally owned small business, is a virtual information technology company founded in February 2001. Nuail President Mark Davis said the company’s computer consultants will use Microsoft technologies to develop Internet and web-based applications. These applications will support advanced resource scheduling and project planning conducted by the Critical Infrastructure Surety organization at Sandia.

In Fiscal Year 2000, Sandia spent $276 million with small businesses. According to Cynthia Schneeberger, Deputy Director, Procurement Oversight & Oracle, Sandia contracts approximately 50 percent of its commercial procurements with New Mexico businesses, more than 70 percent of which are small, disadvantaged, and woman-owned businesses. More than 1,000 New Mexico businesses hold contracts with Sandia.
