Sandia accepting applications for Dream Catcher Program

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Sandia National Laboratories is accepting applications for the 2006 Dream Catcher Science Program.

This hands-on science and engineering program was created to inspire more American Indian middle and high school students to develop and nurture an interest in math, science, and engineering and to pursue degrees in those technical fields. Students entering grades six through 12 are eligible to attend.

This year’s course offerings include: CAD Bridges, Math and Money, Sports Medicine, Genomics and Computers, and Project Management skills for high school students.

Students register for one course. Each course is held June 3, 10, 17 and 24 at the National American University, 4775 Indian School Road NE, Albuquerque, N.M., from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
